Hot, hot, hot

Boy is it ever HOT here! Yesterday and today it's felt like almost 40C outside. I have been sweating almost non stop. Yuck! Even though it was hot walking to swimming yesterday I had tons of fun in the pool. It was so nice to cool off. Then last night Tony came over and we BBQ'd some burgers. They sure were yummy! And Tony and I built a cool huge Geotrax. It's going to be set up for awhile I think.

This morning Mrs Hamilton was back at school. I had a good morning but boy was it hot. Mommy came to meet me when school was over and then we went with Finn and her mom to Shyauna's house for the whole afternoon. Amanda and her mom came too. We had so much fun! We played upstairs in the air conditioning for awhile and then went outside and BBQ'd some more burgers and hot dogs and played on the swing and with the ball. Their apartment buildling is so nice...it has tennis courts, a big patio with a bunch of BBQ's to use, an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a fountain. How cool is that?? Mommy and I brought chocolate chip cookies that we made last night and all of my friends liked them.

It's supposed to thunderstorm soon so I'm not sure if soccer will be on or not. We'll have to wait and see how the weather is.

Busy week

I've been on the run so far this week. Boy have I had busy days yesterday and today. I slept so great last night after coming home from soccer and mommy had to wake me up this morning. I've also been eating everything in sight. Lots and lots of healthy foods too.

Today I school I got to go work with a lady. But I forget her name. She is an occupational therapist and she's assessing me. She had me writing my name and trying to write letters of the alphabet but I didn't do so great with the letters. But I did show her how I can write my whole name! And I got a sticker when we were done. We had a supply teacher today too. Her name was Mrs Kelly. She was nice. When mommy came to get me we were outside playing in the playground so that was lots of fun. I stayed to play after with Finn, Amanda, Jessica and Graham. We were playing so well together. Then it was time for us to catch the bus to CHEO for my bloodwork. I was okay waiting but hated having it done. I screamed and cried...it's scary. But I got a couple of stickers and a HUGE popsicle afterwards to make everything better again.

Pretty soon we're off to swimming lessons. It's going to be hot.

Skipped school

Today I am skipping school! But I have a reason and I am not sick. This morning was my assessment at First Words for speech. It was so much fun! I just got to go to an office and play with the Little People garage, a funny pizza and a funny monkey tree. And I said some words and some sentences and then I had to do some exercises with my tongue. It was pretty fun! Turns out I am assessed at moderate to severe speech problems but my vocabulary is very, very high for someone my age. So she gave mommy some tips for over the summer and then I'm being referred the Community Care Access for SK. And we all know how long the wait is there...we've already been on the list with them since October. Oh well...it was a fun morning. And hopefully soon everyone will be able to understand everything I say!

It's going to be another hot day here today. I had a fun weekend at the trailer. We had some nice weather and not so many bugs.

That's all for now. We have some time to play and hang out and then it's my appointment with Dr Gravelle and then we'll have to hurry to soccer. Yippee!

Sunny and warm

Can you believe that it is finally a sunny AND warm day! Yahoo!! And I'm feeling so much better. I had a great sleep last night, woke up a little bit grumpy and very LOUD but off I went to school. Today was my Show and Tell day and I was special friend. I brought the beaver chewed stick to school and all the kids thought it was so cool. I brought Tayvn with me to the office and we got digger stickers. Too cool! It was just a great morning at school. Mommy picked me up and we played at the park with Finn for a long time. I was pretending the play structure was my ship and we ran out of fuel and were stranded out to sea. That was fun. Then mommy and I walked all the way up to KFC for lunch. I love popcorn chicken!! It was neat to go someplace different for lunch. We stopped at the park on St Laurent on the way home and somehwere in there mommy lost my digger sticker I got at school. I should have kept it on my shirt instead of sticking it to mommy's hand. I got so sad.

So we stopped at Elmvale and I picked some race car stickers from the dollar store to make up for it. And there's lots to share with mommy and it's okay if she loses them.

We're home to relax for a bit and then it's off to soccer tonight.

Stomach Bug

It's been awhile since we updated. I got back to mommy's house last night after a long weekend spent at the trailer. I threw up all over myself on the way home in the van. Yuck. But I seemed to be in better spirits at mommy's and wanted some snacks to eat. Then we just cuddled and watched some Bob and got ready for bed. Daddy came back to drop off my show and tell for tomorrow...it's a cool piece of wood that beavers have chewed both ends on. It looks like a pencil. I went to bed good around 8 and then woke up at midnight and I had thrown up all in my bed and all over big Bob. Oh no! Mommy cleaned me up and then I went back to sleep in her bed. I woke up at 5am and threw up again. Poor me! Since then we've been up for the day. I feel much better now. I stayed home from school and we stayed home from swimming but I have been up playing and feel okay. I had a nice bath this morning and we got everything washed up.

I decided I wanted to go out for a bit so we took my bike over to Loblaws to get some more fruit and we stopped to get some movies at Blockbuster. I got Bob Snowed Under. Cool! I like that movie.

I'm sure tomorrow we'll be back out and about. It's my Show & Tell day at school and I get to be special friend. Then tomorrow night is soccer.

Rain, rain stay away!

It's kind of a quiet day here. I hope the rain stays away so that I can still go to soccer tonight. Last night I hung out with Tony for awhile while mommy got her sore tooth checked. They yanked it out! And she got to bring her yucky rotten tooth home...crazy or what? I thought it was the most disgusting thing ever. I think she should put it under her pillow and let the tooth fairy take it away. On the way home we picked up Wendy's for dinner since it was so late. Yum!

I had another good day at school today. I spent a lot of time playing with Jordan. But a lot of my friends were sick...hope they didn't catch it at my birthday party. I took the bus home since it was kind of rainy and I sat with Jordan and Omar. That was fun!

This afternoon we've just been playing. I got a package from Great Grandma and Grandpa with those cool magnetic building things. So I made a parking lot out of them for my Hot Wheels. I also took a little bike ride over to Loblaws to get some groceries to make banana bread.

Good week

We're having a good week so far. It was supposed to rain all week long but so far we haven't gotten that wet. Sunday night we just stayed home and played and I got to bed nice and early. Whew...I needed a good sleep. Then it was off to school with mommy yesterday morning. We had so much fun! Even though I was very grumpy. I didn't want to do my craft, scribbled my name and was just a grump. But I wasn't the only one...my whole class was wild. Was it a full moon or something??

Oh and we now have eggs in our classroom!! We're learning all about how chicks grow in the eggs and it will take 21 days until they hatch. Today is day 5. How exciting! One of my friends said mommy can be the farmer and come take care of the chicks...that is funny! After school we played in the park with Finn for a long time and then stopped at the library and Loblaws before coming home. In the afternoon we walked over to Loeb for the rest of the groceries and stopped at the park to play. Then last night was soccer time!! While I was playing in the playground waiting for the game to start it started pouring rain. Luckily it didn't last for too long and it was fairly dry for our practice and game. We lost again...but just by one goal...yet again! I'm getting so into it and love doing the drills and cheering my team on. Even though I don't like to step on the dandelions when I'm playing. Tony showed up to watch my game too so that was nice.

Today was a much better morning at school. Mrs Hamilton said I had an excellent day. Yahoo! And mommy came to pick me up so we got to chat on the way home. I like that. This afternoon was swimming. It was just me, Finn and Jessica today so I got lots of attention. I like my new instructor Marco...I am so silly with him.

That's all for now. Tonight Tony is coming to bring me and mommy to mommy's dentist appointment and hang out with me while mommy is getting her teeth checked out.

Busy, busy, busy

Mommy and I have had such a busy few days together that their has been no time to post. Thursday was kind of relaxing doing crafts, going biking, out on my scooter and just playing at home. Friday we got to see a band play at my school. That was exciting! Then it was back home for a few hours until we had a surprise visitor. I had no clue Auntie Kim was coming to visit but all of a sudden there she was! I was so happy to see her! We played at home and then met Tony and went out to Chinese buffet for dinner (my choice).

Yesterday I was up bright and early and off we went on an adventure. First we had to stop for a sprinkle donut, then we drove out to Smiths Falls. We went to the Hershey Chocolate Factory...yum!! We got lots of goodies but the plant was closed because of a power outage. So instead we went on more adventures and found the neatest train museum. The man showed us around and I got to see inside a dental car that travelled around Northern Ontario. Mommy asked Papa about it today and Papa got his teeth checked in that exact car in Hawk Junction...can you believe it?! They had a model train set up too and they were pulled by little Thomas' and Gordon. Cool! After that it was back to Ottawa. We stopped to pick up McDonald's for lunch and then went to the hotel to check in and go swimming.

Then it was PARTY time!! Shyauna, Finn, Amanda, Jordan, Alex and Tayvn all came to Cosmic Adventures to share in the fun with me. We got to run around in the tubes for one hour (mommy tried to keep up) and then got the party room for one hour. It was so much fun! We had hot dogs, cake and juice but we had to do funny stuff before we got our food. The nice hostess made me a cool balloon hat and a girl came in to do face painting. But I don't like getting my face painted so mommy and Auntie Kim got things painted on their faces. And I got to open all my presents...boy my friends bought me some cool stuff! And Tony and Uncle Mike arrived and we all got tokens to go play arcade games. That was so cool! I won so many tickets...over 300!! WOW!!

After my party Aunt Kim, Uncle Mike, Tony, mommy and I went back to the hotel and I got to go swimming again with Uncle Mike and then to have dinner at the bar and grill to cheer on the Sens. Go Sens Go! Even though they lost...

And today is Mother's Day!! I gave mommy the beautiful crafts I had made at the workshop at playgroup on Wednesday. They are so pretty! We relaxed at home this morning and then Aunt Kim and Uncle Mike came to pick us up and we went to St Laurent for a bit and then to Perkins for lunch. Yum!! Then we came back here to play.

Now Aunt Kim and Uncle Mike have left for home. Bummer. Tonight will be an early night to bed so I'm ready for school tomorrow. What a busy and fun weekend!

Feels like summer!

It's another beautiful day and once again I have been busy! Last night Tony came over and we went shopping. First to Canadian Tire where mommy bought a brand new bike. Boy is it ever nice!! She figured it was about time she retired the one from Sam's club that she got when she was about 10 and move on. Then we went to the mall where she bought some more clothes. Silly mommy...she never buys anything for herself and then all in one night. By the time we got home we were all starving so we ordered pizza, wings, salad, and Joe Louis'...yum!! So I was a little late in getting to bed but that is okay.

This morning was back to school. We're talking about Community Workers at school and today we got to make a fire truck craft with a fire man. Cool! One of my favorites! Mommy came to pick me up and we stayed to play in the park but only for a bit because today no one else stayed to play with me. Bummer! But that's okay. We stopped at the library on the way home to pick up some movies and then came home to play. This afternoon we headed out with the new bike and the trailer to go to big playgroup for a Mother's Day craft workshop. I made the crafts all by myself while mommy relaxed and read magazines so that they can be a surprise for her. I'm going to hide them in my room and then surprise her on mother's day. Shhh...don't tell! I think we need a new attachment piece for my trailer though...it rubbed a bunch of paint off of mommy's bike...bummer.

So now we're home for a bit and then back out on with the bike and trailer to go to soccer. Yahoo!

I'm FIVE!!!

Happy Belated Birthday to me!! Can you believe that I am FIVE years old already?! Boy time flies. I've been pretty busy since my last update last week. I spent the weekend with daddy (the whole weekend) and we were busy. We went to an inn in Bourget from Friday until Sunday night and all of daddy's family and Sylvie's family came too. On Saturday was the big wedding, Sunday they had a birthday party for me and then I didn't get home to mommy's until yesterday morning!

We were late getting home so I had to wait until after school to open my gifts but I did see a neat racecar helium baloon and a cool kite. I brought cupcakes to school to share with my class and boy was everyone excited that it was my special day. I got to wear a crown and go to the office to get a birthday sticker. And both Mrs Hamilton and Madam Anna sang to me. Wow!! I'm so lucky! After school I played at the park with my friends and then mommy and I went to McDonald's for lunch (I got to pick!). In the afternoon I had a package come from grandma, grandpa and papa and inside was all sorts of cool gifts. I got totally outfitted for soccer with cleats, socks, shin pads, shorts and a ball. And I got some monster trucks, books and tons of snacks. And of course Papa put in a bag of money...silly Papa. There was even a gift in the box from me to mommy...I thought that was silly...I wasn't in the Soo to send it. It was for Mother's Day though.

Then last night was my very first soccer game! We biked over with the trailer and finally found where we had to go. I'm on team Red and I'm number 10. Wow!! We did drills for awhile and then got to play a little game. I loved it! But I wish I had a different coach. Maybe tomorrow...

Today has been another good day. We spent almost all morning at school watching the Talent Show. It was so long but very good. All those kids that go to my school are so talented! Then mommy picked me up and we got to play at the park with my friends again. We stopped at the grocery store on the way home and then later this afternoon went back out to swimming. Boy it's a hot day today! It was nice to go in the pool and try out my new swimming goggles that mommy got me for my birthday. Now I stick my whole face right in the water. Goggles sure are cool!

Quiet day

We had fun last night at my school's art show. Boy are the pictures I have up ever beautiful! I got to show mommy and Tony upstairs at my school and some older girls were even giving away their art for free so I picked a cool picture with orange in it. Afterwards we went to Perkins for dinner...I ordered a hamburger and didn't even have one bite so I ate it today for lunch. Silly me!

Today has been kind of a quiet day. I needed it. This morning was lots of fun at school yet again. We played this neat game during French where we all had different coloured stickers. And today I finally took the bus home...it's only been about three weeks since the last time. I sat with Shyauna and she invited me to go swimming at her house one day. That would be fun.

This afternoon I've just been playing. We went out on the balcony and drew a great chalk picture with railroad tracks, a parking lot, a station and a road. And I took a little bike road over to check out the garden centre but my legs were aching and I complained a lot. Those darn legs.

Swimming day

I've had another busy day and it's not over yet. This morning when I woke up Tony was here. That's so silly...so I got to have a morning tickle fight. Then it was off to school. Today we toured the school to look at all the classes art show. I'd never been upstairs in my school before. Then mommy was there to pick me up and I got to play in the park for the longest time with Tayvn, Amanda, Jessica, Finn and Graham. Cool! We were all playing so well together. Then it was time to come home to have lunch.

Then this afternoon was off to swimming lessons. I was being so silly today. I was laughing and laughing so I couldn't blow bubbles or even float. I was just having too much fun. So silly! But my instructor did dunk me when I wasn't putting my face in and just being silly. And then I laughed even more. haha On the way home we stopped at the park to play for a bit more.

Tonight Tony is coming over again and we're going to the art show at my school. I get to show Tony and mommy all the beautiful art we've decorated with. Should be fun! And then maybe we'll get to go out to eat. That's all for today.

Lots of stuff

I've been kept pretty busy since the last update. Thursday night I went to daddy's and we all went out to the pancake dinner for Cubs. I got to race Jordan's old cub cars and I won!! And I got to eat lots of pancakes and sausages. Then Friday morning daddy and I took the bus in to mommy's. Then it was off to school with mommy because it was an assembly day. My class did three songs...the Humpty Dumpty rap, the flower song and a french song. I was singing loud and giving mom the thumbs up. Hmm...what did we do the rest of the day...we played in the park after school for a bit and then baked muffins in the afternoon for the bake sale on Saturday. Then it was off to daddy's house again.

But not for long. I got to do something really special on Saturday. I brought Clark back to mom's for a sleepover. How cool is that? We went to Kelsey's for dinner with Krista, Kyle and Julianne and we had so much fun. I ate good and so did Clark...we even shared ice cream for dessert. Yum! Mommy sure missed having a baby in the house.

Daddy picked us up yesterday morning and then it we were on the go all day until mom got off work and I came back. A lot of back and forth isn't it?? Last night we went to Tony's house for dinner. We had a yummy BBQ of chicken (I got the drumstick), corn on the cob (which I ate off the cob), buns and salad. Yum. I got to play video games and I raked the backyard for a bit.

Today is such a nice day out. This morning we went to school. Mommy helped all of my friends and me plant bean seeds. We have our own cup with 2 bean seeds in it so now we have to watch and wait. I made a special flower for mommy for Mother's Day at craft but shhh...it's a surprise! And I got to give out the invitations for my birthday party. I am so excited to invite all my friends...I even invited Mrs Hamilton. So much fun! Afterwards I played with Finn in the park for a long time. We worked together and built a forest. It was so fun. Then we stopped at the library and grocery store on the way home. This afternoon we went out again and stopped at the park and then went to get the rest of the groceries at Loeb. But I'm pretty tuckered out today. I think I'll go to bed early.
