More thunderstorms

Our plans last night turned out a little different. We picked up some KFC and then headed over to Tony's house to eat since it was raining. It was yummy...even though I wasn't all that hungry. Then the rain stopped and the sun came out so we got some chairs and headed down to the musical ride. It wasn't near as busy as other years. They didn't have any of their pre-show...no band, dogs, etc but they had the bestest part and at 7:15 they started the Musical Ride. WOW! I was grinnig ear to ear and bopping along to the music. I think that is one of mommy's and mine favorite events. I told mommy I'd like to be in the ride when I grow up. And it ended just before the rain started. Oh and after the show I went down to the ring and got to meet and pet a few of the horses. That was exciting!

This morning we were up and going early again. Off to the Aviation Museum. It was very quiet there. I ran around and played and gave mommy the whole tour. We were there for a few hours since we haven't been there in a couple of months. Today was our last day with our membership so we will have to renew it next time. Now we're home for lunch and it's still rainy out. It has rained EVERY day this week and almost every day there has been a big thunderstorm at least once...this is crazy for summer!

This afternoon I have to do some of my tracing work (have to work a bit every day) and I'm going to help mommy make a cherry cheesecake. Hope everyone has a great long weekend. I'm off to Camp Croak with daddy.

Summer vacation!

Today is my very first day of summer vacation! Can you believe that I am done my first year of school already?? Hopefully the summer goes by slowly so that I can have lots and lots of adventures before returning to school.

Yesterday was the last day of school and the last soccer game. We only had 6 players from our team there so I got to play almost the entire time and boy I was pumped. I was playing defense and blocked the chocolate team (that Megan is on) from scoring but I got the ball right in my face. What a save! It hurt...but I got a freezie and took a break and then it was back out to the field.

I finally had a good sleep last night after two very restless nights before. So this morning we got to sleep in...till 6:45...wow! Maybe tomorrow we'll sleep even later. Then it was off in the bike trailer to big playgroup. We haven't been there in months and months. Their were lots of little kids but hardly any other kids my age. I had fun anyway...making crafts, building and playing on the slide. And luckily the thunderstorm hit during circle time so we didn't get caught in the rain.

This afternoon we're going to the opening ceremonies for the reading club at the library and then tonight is the RCMP Musical Ride. I've been waiting to go to that all week! We're going to have a KFC picnic...yum!

Rainy Day

The rain didn't start until I was asleep last night so I got to go to soccer. Tony came over and then came to watch my game. It was so much fun! And we WON! Yahoo!! I tried so hard. It was treat night so we had purple Kool-Aid and cupcakes. Yummy! Maybe that was our key to success.

This morning Mrs Hamilton was back at school. We got to play with our reading buddies. Since it looked like rain I rode the bus home. I haven't taken the bus home in a long time. I brought home a bunch of crafts and activity sheets today as well as two thank you notes. One for mommy for volunteering all the time and the other one for me for bringing Mrs Hamilton yummy truffles last week from the truffle store. She really enjoyed them and she even shared them with her daughters.

After lunch we did some of my "st" flash cards and I worked on tracing some lines. Then it was off to my last swimming lesson. We had a different instructor but it was fun. I tried really, really hard but still didn't place Preschool B. Grr...I was only two things away from passing and both I have done before. One is the front glide and the other the front float. Bummer. We'll have to sign up and keep trying in September. On the way home the rain really started pouring down and even though we had our jackets and the umbrellas everything still got wet. Oh well.

That's all for now. Tonight we're going to Tony's house to BBQ. I haven't been there in a very long time.

Last week of June

It's the last week of June and the last week of school. Then it's vacation time! Wow!

This morning mommy and I headed to school. And guess what?? We had a man supply teacher. Mrs Hamilton was away. That was pretty neat. All of my friends were pretty crazy today though...must be because it's the last week. But mommy helped out the teacher a lot and we made two crafts. A painted butterfly and a caterpillar/butterfly craft. And we got to meet with my occupational therapist again and she gave me a cool book of things to work on this summer with mommy. Yahoo! I got my report card today too and Mrs Hamilton only had GREAT things to say about me. I'm so special! After school we stayed to play with Finn and Graham for a long time. Then it was home for lunch and to work a bit in my activity books.

Then we went to St Laurent. We haven't been there since Mother's Day. I got a special treat at Toys R Us for having such a great report card. I got a new gas station for my Geotrax. It's pretty cool! And then we shared a Monster Blizzard at Dairy Queen. Yummy!!

Hopefully it doesn't start raining before soccer. I've only got two games left.

Show and Tell

I am having another fun week with mommy! Yesterday morning we headed off to school. We had an assembly that lasted almost all morning. It was in the big gym and my class and Mrs Dudar's class got to go up on stage to sing "Mr Wainwright Rocks". Mr Wainwright is our Vice Principal and he is retiring so the whole assembly was for him. It was long and hot but pretty entertaining. We got to play on the big play structure for a bit before school was over. And then I stayed to play for a long time more with Finn and Alex.

Last night was soccer. I wasn't too excited to play since I had a little catnap in the trailer on the way there and I was hot and tired after my early morning. But I got into it after awhile and had a really fun time. We JUST beat the big storm home. WOW...it was a pretty scary thunderstorm. Lots of big wind and big rains. I think some trees must have blew down in some places.

I had a great sleep last night (after mommy put After Bite on all my itchy bug bites) and this morning mommy walked me to school again. Today was my Show and Tell day and I decided to bring my Spiderman scooter that Emma bought me for my birthday last year. I did a GREAT job talking all about my scooter and answering my friends questions and mommy stayed to watch and take a few pictures. Then mommy left and I went about my day being special friend. I brought Jordan to the office with me and for craft I drew a picture of our apartment building. We're making a book that's all about ME. Cool! Then when I get to be a daddy I can show my kids. Mommy was back at school to pick me up and boy was she SOAKED! She got caught in the downpour...silly mommy. So we walked home right away and I didn't get wet at all. haha

This afternoon was spent playing. We built a big fort in the living room and I pulled my little couch under there so I can watch tv and play in my fort. Cool or what?? And we played a few boardgames. I really enjoy the game of Life. Then it was off to swimming lessons. I had a great time. Only one more lesson left.

Summertime!

Hi everybody! I'm home from another fun weekend at Camp Croak!

Boy did we ever have a busy weekend! Friday night after dinner we all went for a boat ride. All five of us in our little boat. I think it was even Clark's first boat ride. We all had lots of fun. Jordan even jumped in the lake and had a little swim. Crazy Jordan! I didn't really go to bed very good for the whole weekend. I had a couple of little cat naps in the car, maybe that was the problem.

Saturday was another busy day. We got up and played for a while, then Daddy and Jordan and I headed for town. We went to Canadian Tire and got me a cool new water gun! Then we went to Giant Tiger to get a bug zapper and some other cool stuff. After that we went to go Geocaching. We went and looked for one in Carleton Place and another one near the trailer and couldn't find either one. :( We looked and looked, but no luck. It was very sad. After lunch we went for a swim at the beach. I sure love to swim. I was out in the lake with my pool noodle swimming around like mad. I like to just float around with Daddy on his lounger sometimes too. Later on we went swimming just off of our own campsite. That was easier because at least we didn't have to walk so far. Because I ate my dinner so good, I got to go for a treat too. Sylvie and Jordan and I went to Gemmill's in Clayton to get a popsicle. I sure gobbled it down. Then we went to the park by the dam and I was wading around and throwing rocks in the water. We were looking for a good place to hide a new geocache. We couldn't really find a good spot though. So we went looking for another spot. Sylvie went down a dirt road and couldn't turn around. We almost ended up there forever. She almost hit a bunch of trees trying to turn around. It's a miracle I'm still alive. :) Saturday night I didn't want to go to sleep again and thrashed around a lot. At some point, I must have kicked the screen out of the window. Unfortunately, no one noticed until morning. I got so many mosquito bites. I'm very itchy now.

Sunday morning we made Daddy breakfast for father's day and then we went fishing. Jordan caught a couple of fish on the dock but neither of us managed to catch anything in the boat. That was kind of sad. When we came back from fishing, Clark and Sylvie were both having a good nap. We hung around for a little bit, then we went for a swim with Daddy. Jordan and I went for a ride in the dinghy, while Daddy was riding his lounger. Clark and Sylvie got up after a bit and came swimming with us too. Soon it was time for Jordan to get ready to go and meet his Dad to visit him for father's day. Then it was just the four of us. We spent more time swimming and went for dinner and then I had a bath in the lake. I didn't really like it too much. Daddy had to dunk me right under to get the soap off. I went to bed good at 7 but could get to sleep, my mosquito bites were bothering me so much. I did finally fall asleep, but I think it was pretty late.

We got up really early on Monday and went home to Mommy's. I was a little bit of a grouch, but I got better as I woke up more.

I'm looking forward to next weekend. Another exciting one at Croak Camp I think!

Busy week!

We are having a very busy week around here! Monday was a walk to Giant Tiger and then my soccer game. My team won again!! That's three games in a row. Go Red Go!!

Yesterday mommy got to come to school again because it was our field trip day. Yippee! We went with Mrs Dudar's class to the Experimental Farm. Their were lots of parent volunteers and we had lots of fun. It was such a short time there that we didn't get to see the tractors but I still had a great time touring around with all my friends. After we got back to school we went with Shyauna, her mom, Atilla (the JK helper), Finn and her mom and we all went to Pizza Hut for lunch. We had to wait for it to open but then we got to eat the buffet! I had tons of pizza and those little cinnamon buns...yum! What a great time! We hurried back to school to pick up my wagon and walked home just in time to pick up our stuff and go to swimming. Where I saw my friends all over again! And it was parents day so mommy got to come and swim. Mommy and my instructor raced me and my friends on the floaties. They won! It was so silly.

But our day wasn't over! After swimming we hurried home and met Tony and we went to the big theatre to see "Cars". I snacked on chocolate covered raisins and had a slushie and watched the movie. I loved it so much! McQueen and Mator are my favorites. I didn't move in my seat for the whole two hour movie. Wow!! When we got home mommy made us all some dinner (which I didn't want) and then it was time for bath, stories and bed.

Whew what a day! Today has been busy again. I went to school this morning and we got to work with our reading buddies. Then mommy picked me up at school and I got to play in the park with Finn and Alex. This afternoon we had to go to CHEO for another ECG. But this time I was a pro!! I was laughing and stayed so still and no one sign of a tear. WOW! I'm amazing!!

It's Monday

Another weekend has come and gone at the trailer. I got home to mommy last night just in time for dinner. We played for a bit and then BBQ'd some burgers and Tony came over to eat with us after he got off work. They sure were yummy! Then it was time for bath, stories and bed.

This morning was off to school with mommy. We had a great day. I made a gift for daddy for Father's Day but I can't tell what it is...it's a secret! But I think he's really going to love it. I got to have a turn reading books with mommy and we had french and snack and then the day was over. I played in the park with Finn and Graham and their mommy's while mommy was meeting with Mrs Hamilton, my principal Mrs Hunter and the occupational therapist. I had so much fun in the park! Better then having to sit and listen in a meeting. I'm going to keep seeing Crystal, the occupational therapist, for another 13 sessions!! Only one more this year but then a bunch more next year. Try to work on my shaky hands and my visual preception skills. And mommy got some tips to try at home...oh no...more homework!

So now we're home. We had french fries and leftover burgers for lunch. This afternoon we have to go to Giant Tiger and then tonight is soccer. Yippee!

It's Raining, It's Pouring

Our hot weather has left and now it's rainy outside. Just in time for another cold and rainy weekend at Camp Croak. I don't think I'll ever be able to go swimming there.

But we're having a good day. Daddy and I took the bus home this morning from Rockland. We had to wait a long time for the bus and then had to walk from Elmvale. I come home happy but then when it's time to go wait for the school bus I get grumpy. Just too early in the morning...we have to talk to daddy about changing that. I can't be grumpy like that just because I had to wake up so early in the morning. But I had a good morning at school. It was sad though. Today is George's last day in our classroom. A bunch of other classes came in to visit him and we went to Mrs Dudar's class for music. So it was a busy morning. Mommy came to pick me up at school and Finn and I ran around the park for awhile. Then we headed over to Mr Sub for lunch. Yum! We got caught in the rain on the way home so I guess we'll just stay in this afternoon...just play and relax.

Another Hot Week

Boy does it ever feel like summer lately and it's only the first week of June. We can't wait until the wading pools are open around here! Today is 30C again!

I'm having a great week at mommy's house. Sunday night we got home late from the trailer so we didn't have much time to play before it was bedtime. I brought home a really cool balloon character of a monkey climbing a tree. Daddy got it at a wedding that him and Sylvie went to on Saturday night. Yesterday we had BIG news at school!! One of our eggs hatched over the weekend!! And mommy got to spend the day in my class to enjoy the excitement. My class is now the proud parents of "George" our little brown chick. He is soooooo cute!! Yesterday we just looked at him in his box. He was hopping around like crazy and peeping like crazy. Silly chick! At craft we got to make our own little chick in a real egg to bring home and a chick hat. Since it was chick day afterall. We stayed to play at the park after school. In the afternoon we played Life (boy I love that game and WON!) and I went for a little bike ride on my bike. Then we baked brownies and then headed to soccer. I think my team might have won. We played such a great game and I got to kick the ball a lot of times. We really worked together as a team.

This morning was another good day at school. We spread out newspaper in the middle of our circle and let George out to explore. He was so silly! And we found out our class is going on a field trip to the Experimental Farm in a couple of weeks. How exciting! Mommy picked me up from school again so we stayed to play in the park for a long time.

This afternoon was swimming lessons. It was nice to get into the pool and cool down. We were being so silly for our instructor. But I did bobs and I did FIVE of them! Maybe this time I'll pass the level. On the way home we stopped to play at the park but boy it was hot there.

Tonight we're ordering Swiss Chalet for supper. I invited Tony to come over. I can't wait to eat ribs!

June

Another month already. Summer is going to go by so fast. Last night we biked all the way to soccer, started our practice and then we heard thunder, saw lightening and all of a sudden the rain started coming down. We got to the overhang at the school and we were soaked! So we waited for the storm to pass and then biked home through all the huge puddles! So no game but at least we got to go for bike ride and have a shower.

Today was another good day at school. We had gym! I love that! Our eggs haven't hatched yet but tomorrow will be 21 days so they should hatch really soon. I took the bus home from school since it looked rainy and sat with Jordan. We've just been playing this afternoon and watching tv. We just came back from a little ride on my bike around the block.

Tonight it's off to daddy's house and I think I get my haircut tonight.
