Busy Day

Wow I had a crazy busy day yesterday! First off was school. I brought my sunglasses to show and tell with Mr Guy. I made a really neat egg with a pattern on it. Lots of easter crafts at school. Then when we went outside to get on the bus there was mommy and Tucker! They had walked over to meet me. My friends and teachers were excited to see my puppy. They all thought he was so cute! Tony met us at the school and from there we took Tuck to PetSmart. He wasn't scared at all this time and was enjoying sniffing around. We got him some different food (he seems to like it better) and some more treats and a brush. He's spoiled! Then it was home for lunch. From there we went to the cd store to get the new Tim McGraw cd. And then to swimming lessons. Tony came to watch too. I did sooooooo great!! I really try and do my best so I can show Emma how it's done. I don't know why she doesn't want to do anything in the pool. Mommy says I used to be like that but I don't beleive it...I'm a great swimmer! And I'm trying really hard this session to earn my badge. I hope I do!

After swimming we can home to relax and play with Tuck for a few hours and then was the big excitement of the week. We were off to see the SENS!! I was sooooooo excited!! I wore my Sens jersey that Sylvie bought for me and I looked great! It took us a little bit to get there but once we got there I got to see the zamboni's and the players skating around. Then the game started and the SENS scored!! In the first minute of play! I was sooooo excited!! I was cheering and yelling and clapping. Mommy has never seen me like that before....just a crazy Sens fan. The game went by so fast that I didn't want to leave and wanted them to play again. Unfortunately we lost 3-2 to Boston but it was a good game and Ottawa had way more chances to score. I can't wait to go back again! I even got a Wade Redden poster for the new house. Yahoo! It took us awhile to get out of the parking lot but then Tony took a detour and drove over the curb and off we went. That was a good idea! We didn't have to wait anymore. I had a hot dog and drink at the game but was asking for ice cream. We were stuck in the middle of the row and couldn't easily get out so I got a Smarties McFlurry on the way home from McDonald's. Can you believe it? It was like the middle of the night! I think I was finally in bed around midnight. Whew...what a night! So exciting though as you can see my face in the photo.

Spring

Here is another picture of Tucker. He's getting big isn't he?? Almost to heavy for me to carry him around. I do still help him to get up on the couch though...he's silly.

It must be spring. This morning is rainy and there was even some thunder. So I've put away my winter boats and got out my rain boats and splash pants. Yahoo!

Last night Sylvie and Jordan dropped me off at Loblaws after Disney on Ice. I had a great time helping mommy and Rena work and then Tony met us there and drove us home. We played for a bit and then went to his house for supper. I had a blast! I was playing PS2 and playing with Liz and Tucker. I wasn't too hungry for dinner...my belly hurt from all the McDonald's I had for lunch. But I had a great time.

When I got home it hurt to breath in my nose and then I woke up at 3am with a very stuffy nose. I had a hard time sleeping after that. Where did I get this cold from?? We just got over one. That's all for now. Tonight we're going out to buy some more stuff for Tucker and then tomorrow is swimming lessons and the SENS game! Yahoo!

Easter fun

It was back to school this week. But not before another big Sunday dinner at Tony's house. I ate so much bun, and chicken drumsticks and pineapple and then had two big bowls of ice cream for dessert. Boy I was hungry! Tucker came too (of course!) and found so many shoes to chew. He really loves shoes.

Monday was back to school. I wasn't to anxious to go back but we've had a really busy week at school with lots of work to do and lots of time with the reading buddies so the days are going by really fast. We had to stay at home Monday night for our unit inspection. Last one EVER because in just over one month we move. I keep telling mommy that we have to start packing.

Teusday was another good day. When I got home from school I got out of my snowpants and then we went with Tony to McDonald's for lunch. It was so yummy! I ate my WHOLE happy meal. Then in the afternoon was swimming lessons. Since I missed the last three it was good to get back. It was pretty cold walking but we made it. I swim with a little girl named Emma now but still with the same instructor that I really like. I did such a great job this week. I was doing my pencil blastoffs with my face in the water for 3 whole seconds. And I did bobs and my back float and everything. I did awesome! I had to set a good example for Emma.

Yesterday was another good day. We took Tucker to the big dog park near the Experimental Farm. He really loved it there! He got to run off his leash quite a bit and explore everywhere. I was kind of scared of all the big dogs he met but then wanted to follow and play with them when they walked away. It was such a good afternoon. We were all tired by the time we got back to the car. Every other day we've taken Tucker down to the park on our street. He's getting a bit better at walking on his leash but he has to stop and watch every car or bus go by. It's kind of a pain. He likes to run free in the tennis court with me though and explore. We had a bit of a rest at home yesterday afternoon and then went out again. Just to a few stores to look for stuff for the house but we didn't find anything. So we stopped at Tim Horton's for a donut and chocolate milk. That was a good snack!

Today we have been lazy. School was good. This afternoon we've just stayed home. We did make these cute little chicks though. We dyed the eggs in food colouring and then decorated them. Cute eh? Easter is only 3 weeks away!

Meet Tucker!!

Meet my new puppy Tucker!! Isn't he cute?! It was a pretty long afternoon yesterday...I was so excited to go pick him up. We went to PetSmart and I picked out a really nice collar and leash, some bowls, some toys and some treats. He's spoiled! Then we went out to Jodi's house to get him. She's got a lot of dogs there. Tucker was just coming out of a bath. He was all wet so we had to blow dry him and then he was soooo fuzzy! We got a crate for the next couple of weeks but he's going to be too big for it soon. He's pretty big already.

He is so nice with me!! He whines when I don't play and sometimes nips but you just tell him "no" and then he licks instead. He likes to play with his noisey toy with the ropes. He is just so silly!! He doesn't like to walk on the concrete so sometimes we have to carry him and he doesn't like the wind and cold. He really is a wimp.

So we have spent all day at home playing with the new puppy. I love him!

March Break

I'm having a really fun March Break! On Sunday night we went to Tony's house for dinner. I had so much fun playing PS2. And I ate 2 bowls of ice cream for dessert! Yummy! We've been sleeping in every morning and not getting up until 7:30. Next week is going to seem so early. On Monday we went to the library for the Bon Voyage program. I listened to stories, watched a silly movie called Pete's A Pizza and decorated a shell. Then we stopped at Elmvale and saw the Little Ray's Reptiles. We got to pet a geeko. The geeko felt like a bunch of little rocks. And we saw a big yellow snake having a poop. Monday night Tony came for a yummy dinner of pork tenderloin...I love pork!! And then we went to see Auntie Trish, Josh and Jeff and got their couch. It is so comfortable!! Much better then our old one.

Yesterday was another good day. It was so warm outside that I didn't even need my snowpants or my mitts. We walked to Giant Tiger to get some snacks. And we bought more ice cream...I'm an ice cream aholic. Then in the afternoon we went to the open swim at Canterbury. We were in the pool for a long time...until it got to be too much of a zoo. I was swimming from mommy to the wall all by myself and having so much fun! Last night Tony came for dinner again and I ate a HUGE bowl of Hamburger Helper and more ice cream and then we went to Wal-Mart. I got a cool Tonka activity book with stickers and we bought a bunch of stuff for the house.

Now onto the excitement of today. We're getting a PUPPY!!! Tony's friend knows a breeder that has German Shephard puppy's to give away. We got the last one...a little boy!! It's so exciting!! We're going to have it in our house by the end of the week. YAHOO!! We'll have to go to Petsmart and stock up on puppy stuff.

Haircut

Well we're going to a bit stir crazy again this week. Last week I didn't go to school at all. I was home sick all week. Then this week mommy is sick and it is just too cold to go anywhere. It is such a bummer.

Sunday night we had fun though. We went to Tony's house for dinner. I didn't have much of an appetite but I ate a Portuguese bun and played a ton of PS2 with Liz. We won enough points to buy a helicopter and plane for the four wheeler game. It's so cool! Yesterday was finally back to school. Whew! But by the time I got home the wind had picked up and it was too cold to go out anywhere so we were stuck at home. We played and did the fire extinguisher inspection and that was all. I had a couple big meltdowns yesterday...don't know what is going on...terrible twos at 6?? Maybe. I just don't seem to know how to deal with my anger.

This morning was another bummer. It was -42!!! And out we went to wait for the school bus. He is supposed to come at 7:42...we waited until 7:55 and NO bus!! GRR!! We were so cold and so angry. We came inside and mommy called the school to complain. They said they've been complaining about my bus driver all winter and nothing changes. So mommy tried the bus company but couldn't get through. I guess my driver did come at some point...too late for me though...we were frozen! Tony was here shortly after that so he drove me to school and I got there by 8:30 so that wasn't too bad. Then mommy and Tony came to pick me up after school and we went to check out some stores. We bought the coolest teapot and salt and pepper shakers at Homesense. They are so colorful and will be so nice for the new house! And then we went for lunch buffet at Pizza Hut. Only I had another meltdown and whined and complained that I didn't like pizza...I finally gave up and ate almost 2 pieces and drank a HUGE chocolate milk. And life was good again. Silly me.

Once again today we have to miss swimming lessons though. That's two weeks in a row. Tony has gone to work and it's just way to cold to walk. Bummer. Hopefully this cold weather will finally be over soon and life can go on.
