More Christmas fun

This week has just been filled with lots of Christmas fun! Yesterday we had another great day. I took the bus home from school since it was a little chilly out. Then when I got home we made our Gingerbread Train!! Isn't it cool?! I did such a good job and we even had candies leftover to eat. And an extra piece of gingerbread...yummy! It's much more exciting then just a plain house. Then in the afternoon we walked over to Giant Tiger to pick up a few more gifts. One for Tony's mom and a photo album for Jaclyn. I found a neat squishy light up thing (it's hard to describe) for only 99 cents so I got to buy that too.

Last night Tony came over for dinner (spring rolls and rice...yum) and then we were off to the party! The big Christmas party at the Civilisations Museum. We all had soooooooo much fun!! There were lots of people there but it wasn't too crazy. I think going there on a Saturday is busier. We got to make our own candles out of candle wax paper and then we rolled them in glitter. They look so nice I don't think I want to burn them. I played for a long time in the children's museum too. So much fun!! Then we stopped for the best snack ever. They had apple juice, cake, sandwich wraps and cookies. So much food we couldn't eat it all and brought the rest home. They had all the tables decorated really fancy like too. So I got to stay up really late.

This morning mommy had to wake me up to get ready for school and my bus was actually on time. It's been coming like 15 minutes late every day but not today. I had a supply teacher today at school named Mrs Perkins. She's very nice. I made a sorting craft and just had fun. Mommy was there to pick me up at my classroom when school was done because we had our interview with Ms Dudar. I am doing GREAT at school!! I can count up to 38, know all my colours, how to write my full name, I know almost all the shapes except I get confused on rectangles and ovals. I also can recognise lots of letters now and know most of the sounds they make. I have lots of friends at school and really enjoy reading. And I can get ready to go home on my own. So I'm doing good! Mommy got to see some super cute pictures I have drawn of myself but they have to stay at school until the end of the year. I am so smart!

This afternoon we had more Christmas fun and went to a workshop at the Ontario Early Years Centre. Today we got to paint two tree ornaments, make two salt dough ornaments (that need to dry for a few days) and we got to cut out sugar cookies to bring home to bake. I made a craft tree too. Great fun! Those workshops are the best!! So when we got home we baked the cookies and then decided to make more cookies so we made gingerbread ones with sprinkles on them. Boy are they yummy!

That's all for now. Tomorrow will be another busy day. Mommy is coming to pick me up at school early so that we can go to the book fair and then I have a doctor's appointment. I hope I don't get any needles.

Christmas decorating

What a fun couple of days I've had! Sunday afternoon was Jordan and Adrian's birthday party at Cosmic Adventures. So daddy dropped me off there and I had a blast! Alex came to the party too and one of Adrian's friends and lots of family. I was sweating like crazy running through all those tunnels. And we got to eat hot dogs and cake. Yummy! Jordan and Adrian really liked their gifts too. Mommy and Tony came to pick me up when we were back playing games. I won over 140 tickets. Wow!! So I got to pick a whole bunch of prizes...a little jeep, 3 glow in the dark lizards, a spinning top plus all the stuff I got in my loot bag. How cool! I convinced Tony to come in the tunnels with me so we stayed at Cosmic until they closed at 5. Then it was off to Tony's house for dinner. I got to play PS2 race car game with Liz. I'm sure getting good and even won a few races. Then I had french fries and pork for dinner and portuguese bun. Those buns are the best. What a fun day and night!

Yesterday we had more fun. I didn't want to wear my snowpants to school but luckily I was wearing some sort of splash pants so I could still play in the snow. I learned my lesson though and it's much more fun in snowpants. I'll wear them from now on. We got to play outside at school and go to the library where I picked out another Magic School bus book. And I was the leader of the day so I got to lead circle and bring the attendance to the office with Abrar. Fun! Mommy ended up walking over to pick me up and we stopped at the library on the way home. I got the funniest book about an ant on a railroad track. It's really silly! When we got home we started to do all the housework and then started decorating for Christmas. We got out of Santa hats and put on the Christmas music. Boy was it fun!! Don't I look cute in my Santa hat?? It took us hours and hours. We had to stop halfway and go over to the mall to get suction cups for the windows to hang out light ornaments on our bedroom windows and we got some more wrapping paper to finish wrapping the gifts. Then when we got home we set up the tree. It looks so nice!! I did a GREAT job!! And the presents fill the entire bottom of the tree. There's even some for me under there. I think one is a book and the other one is clothes. I wish I could open them now.

We spent so much time decorating that we didn't have time to make the Gingerbread Train so we'll have to do that today. Tonight is the Christmas Party at the Civilisations Museum too and Tony is coming. It's going to be fun!

It's winter

It must be winter because today I didn't have to go to school! First day of the year that the school buses have been cancelled...due to freezing rain. You can't even call it a snow day. How silly! So we played around home this morning and made some very yummy trail mix stuff with white chocolate, smarties, cereal, pretzels...yummy! Some of my very favorite things. Then we went to play outside. First time wearing my new snowpants and they sure keep me warm. We built the BEST snowman! That's him in the picture. He's a little bit leafy but he's pretty nice. We put in pinecones for eyes and a nose and a twig for hair but it's hard to see in the picture. It was pretty yucky outside with the freezing rain blowing in our faces but we got our snowman built, I shovelled a bit and then we came back in.

Oh and today...the first big snowfall....I got a new bike!! I'm all set to go for spring. It's so cool!! It's white with blue, orange and red flames. It really does look like a hot wheels bike. And the brakes are on the handle bars. So cool!! And I got a whole new wardrobe of clothes...some really great stuff from Old Navy and Children's Place. Now I'm all set for the new year.

Long time, no post

It's been awhile since there's been an update to my website. Daddy says it's time to update it again so here we go. November has been a pretty busy month with lots of things happening. Winter is still not here! The is okay. I'm excited to play in the snow and want New Years to come so I can go on vacation but I'm enjoying the warm weather too. Every morning at the bus stop mommy and I play soccer. With whatever we can find to kick around. Lately it's been big pine cones. And then when our game is done I save the pine cone for my treasure collection. I still haven't had a chance to wear my new snow pants but my winter jacket sure is cozy and warm.

My last swimming lesson of the session was yesterday. Now I get one month off from swimming. I'm still in preschool B level but have come a LONG way! I was doing bobs like crazy yesterday and doing glides with my head under but I ended up drinking about half the pool. Silly me! I have so much fun in the pool though and really love the water. Oh and I can do a back float all by MYSELF! I am so proud and so is mommy!! I did it over and over again with my instructor so that mommy could see it. Yahoo! That's pretty exciting!

In the past month we've done a bunch of workshops at the Ontario Early Years Centre too. Almost one every week. W did one on shapes (Tony came to that one with us) and I got to make my very own tic tac toe game in a cool folder. There was one on Old McDonald's Farm so I got to make crafts and paint a bunch of the farm animals. And the one we went to last week was on Science. It was the coolest!! I made a clay sculpture, goop, a shaker bottle with oil, vinegar and sparkles and the best part was we made chocolate milkshakes. YUMMY! Those workshops are the best.

I had a PD Day a couple of weeks ago too and since I couldn't go to Tayvn's party, because I was in the parade for Remembrance Day, then we invited Tayvn over for a playdate. His mommy and baby Gwen came too and we had a great time playing. They stayed for quite a long time and I got to give Tayvn his present...a remote controlled dinosaur. Because he loves dinosaurs.

Hmm...what else is new. We haven't been to many museums lately so on Friday we went to the Science and Tech Museum. It was pretty busy there since it was cirriculum days but we still had tons of fun. I am so fascinated with science and space now. There's so much to learn.

School is still going good. I have lots of fun with my friends and even enjoy doing my work...sometimes. I really like playing in the park and going to the library.

We've been doing lots of Christmas shopping too. Boy and boy is there tons of presents in our house. It's time to set up the tree and get the presents under it!

Remembrance Day

Hello and good sunday evening to you everyone.

Boy did I ever have a weekend at Daddy's. It was CRAZY!

Friday night, we had friends come over to visit me. Felix, Felicia and Holly (Clark's Babysitter's kids) came over to play. Felix and Felicia are 6. We had fun playing playstation and cars and colouring and all kinds of stuff. We tried to have a sleepover (all 3 of us in the bunk bed) but that didn't really work out too good. Felix and Felicia wanted to go home so Sylvie took them home to their beds. Holly just didn't want to sleep at all either. I was pretty sad that they had to go, but they promised to come back and play again another day.

Saturday morning, despite the late nite, I was up bright and early. I was in a pretty good mood though. I had a good breakfast and before I knew it, it was time to get dressed and head out for the Remembrance Day parade. The weather was really really yucky. Cold, rainy, windy. Yuck! I was super good though. We marched all through the town from the church to the War Memorial at City Hall and we got to watch the whole ceremony. We even had a nice cross to put up from the beavers to say thank you to the soldiers. I was a real trooper and never complained about the rain or anything. Daddy and Sylvie and everybody was so proud of me.

Saturday afternoon was a quiet afternoon. I relaxed on the couch in the basement watching kid shows. It was so nice to veg out for a while. I wish I could do that more. I went to bed super good and had a good sleep.

Sunday morning was time to clean the house. I love cleaning. I especially love to vacuum. We have a super cool vacuum that plugs right into the wall and it's just a big hose. Pretty neat. I don't know exactly where the dirt goes, but it goes. I was very helpful. I helped Daddy clean up the garage a little bit too.

When that was all done, it was almost lunch time and Nana and Papa came to visit. I had been asking to see them for a few days so it was really nice for them to come over. We had a yummy lunch of quesadillas and we played for a long time. Mommy called in the afternoon and she was gonna be working late again, so I got to stay at Daddy's for dinner too. I had a good bath and then Daddy took me back to Mommy's.

I hope next weekend is as good as this one was. I think we are going to go and vist Grace and Zach and maybe teach them about geocaching. Should be good.

Playdate

We're having a fun week here at mommy's house. Monday was back to school. This week we're doing lots of crafts for Remembrance Day so we're making poppies and crosses. Alex's grandpa came on Monday to play the bagpipes for us. That was exciting!

I've been having lots of fun with mommy too. Monday afternoon we just went to Loeb to get some groceries so not too exciting but it was a beautiful day so we got to stop to play in the park. Then in the evening Tayvn came over to play for awhile. I sold some chocolate bars to his mom. Then Tuesday was my swimming lesson and it was Parents Day!! So mommy got to come swimming too. I did a great job with my mom. I was doing my star floats and trying really hard. We even got to wear flippers but they were a bit big so they kept falling off my feet and sinking to the bottom of the pool. That was pretty funny. In the evening Tony came over for dinner and to play and was even here yesterday morning when I woke up. He bought some chocolate bars too. Yah!

Every day mommy has been picking me up at school so yesterday because it was raining I got to take the bus home. Mommy and Tony were waiting for me and we went out right away. But I had a sprinkle donut to snack on on the way. We went shopping at a bunch of different places to look at treadmills. I was pretty happy running around jumping from one to another. Then we went out to St Hubert for lunch. My lunch was served in a yellow car that I got to bring home. Pretty cool! Then it was time for my playdate with Finn. Finn brought some Timbits to share and we had tons of fun playing together. We'll have to invite Finn over again sometime. But our day wasn't over yet. Tony came back over and drove us to the Shapes workshop at big playgroup. And he even stayed for the workshop. I did a great job colouring, cutting and painting and came home with a bunch of cool crafts including a tic tac toe board that I made with shapes. Cool!! What a busy day!

I was pretty tired this morning when I woke up. So this afternoon we'll have to relax for a bit. And guess what today is?? Grandma's birthday!! Happy Birthday Grandma!!! I bet she is old. haha I'll have to send off something special for her today and she will get it a bit late.

Halloween

It's been a long time since anyone posted on my website. Almost two full weeks. But now that I have a picture to post from Halloween it's time for an update.

I've been having lots of fun at school and at home. Now that the cold weather is here (and they have the playground locked at school for a new procedure) we don't stay to play at school all that much but mommy will still come and pick me up. I've been working with Ainsley (the occupational therapist) every second Friday and I really like to work with her. She always has fun games. I'm still doing swimming lessons every Tuesday afternoon and I really love that. Sometimes I act silly in the pool but I'm getting to wear I can almost float on my own. Yahoo! Maybe this time I will actually move onto the next level.

The big news of the week was Halloween! I was so excited for it this year!! On Monday we carved the big pumpkin, painted the little pumpkin and made pumpkin cookies to bring to school. Tuesday morning I was up at 5am because I was so excited for Halloween! I kept asking and asking about going to school. Mommy came for the day to school too so she took some pictures of my class. I spent the day being a firefighter and boy did I ever look cool! My class was part of the assembly and we performed Five Little Pumpkins. I did a great job. Then we had my cookies and some other snacks some of the other kids brought...yum! Ms Dudar gave us Halloween treats too...we're so lucky! Tony came over to go trick or treating with us. His first year in a very long time so I showed him how it was done. I was out for about one hour getting treats and I came home with a bunch. One lady actually thought I was a real firefighter and that her house was on fire...how silly is that?? After I got tired of walking we headed over to the Science Museum and to check out their Halloween stuff. This year they had a haunted house but I didn't want to go in it...that stuff is just to scary for me. But I played the four wheeler game, got more candy and played in the car and in the tunnels. Boy was I ever tired for my bed that night.

I've also spent some time this week playing with Finn. On Wednesday they came to play at the park after school so we played all the way from the time my class ended until it was time for Finn's class to start. I saw Ms Dudar with her afternoon class and got to play with Hodman, Amanda and Shyauna too who were all my class last year. Then today after school we met Finn at McDonald's and we got to play some more...and eat yummy food. I was trying to keep up with Finn in the playland but boy she's a good climber.
