Whew!

It's been a very long time since there has been a post on my website. We are just keeping way to busy at the new house. Finally it's a rainy day so we have to do things inside so might as well update my website.

I had a great time when Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. It seems like so long ago! I spent so much time playing and helping Grandpa work. And as usual we were all spoiled. I got my playstructure and it is GREAT! I use it as my fort, my rescue station, my race car..just about everything. And mommy can swing on the swings too. :) But Tony...well he's to heavy. Grandpa did a great job building it. Grandpa also did lots of work on our house...he needs to come visit more often I think. Lots gets done! Even Grandma was put to work scrubbing the kitchen floor...imagine that. We had lots of trips to Home Depot, Canadian Tire and out for lunch. The visit went by way to fast. And of course the most important day was in there...my BIRTHDAY!! I'm SIX!! I was a little bit worried that when you turn six you have to get married (some silly mommy told me that) but so far so good...no wife yet. I can't wait to turn seven and then I'll know it's a lie for real. I had a really busy birthday with school, shopping, swimming lessons and then my party!! Even Great Grandma and Grandpa Dukes came up from the Soo with Aunt Judi and Uncle Brian. It was so great to have them at my new house! Isabel and Julia came too and Josh and Liz...everyone! Great fun!!

For the past month I've been busy with school, swimming lessons and I finally started my speech therapy at school. I'm working on the "g" sound. Things are going good. I had my field trip day for school too. We went to the Experimental Farm...it was fun...a little crazy. Both mommy and Tony came to help out. That was pretty special!

Tucker is getting big too. He's my good friend though. He's only 4 months old and 17.7kg! Can you believe it! He weighs as much as I do and I'm six!

I've been helping mommy a lot outside and with the gardens. Moving interlock bricks, water flowers and planting. It's lots of fun! We've taken a few little trips around here too. One afternoon we went to the St Albert Cheese Factory. They weren't making cheese but we did get to buy a lot of it! I LOVE cheese curds. They even have a curd festival in August. We'll have to go. Then last week we went out to Hawkesbury on Tuesday night to see the cruise night. All the old cars. I really liked the orange one...orange is my favorite. We had ice cream and then ont he way home stopped at a big greenhouse to buy more flowers for our planters.

Lots and lots of fun! I better go. Tonight is the Sens game!! I get to stay up late to cheer them on. :)

Moved/Party

It's been a busy few weeks. We're now moved into our new house. I LOVE it!! The first morning I got to wake up there I was outside playing by 5:45am. I love playing with my toys outside, riding my bike and just having so much fun. We still have some boxes around but most of the stuff is put away. We just have to organise my room though and decorate and paint with the Cars theme. That is going to be pretty awesome!

Today was big excitement. Daddy dropped me off at Loblaws to mommy at noon and from there we went to pick up stuff for my loot bags and then it was the BIG party at the Aviation Museum. Some of my friends were a little late but it was GREAT! Alex, Jordan, Tayvn, Jason, Brandon, Isabel and Julia came to party with me. We got to play with all the cutout things, ride in the little plane and learned about all the parts. It was so silly...we had a checklist and there was funny stuff hidden all over the plane. Then we got to build a plane. And then we got to become airplanes and fly through an obstacle course with another friend directing us with signals. That was pretty cool! Then it was up to the party room. It's so neat in there. You can see all the airplanes taking off and landing. We made our very own signals to take home and had Dairy Queen cake and juice. Yummy!! And I opened all my presents. Boy am I lucky!! I got Hot Wheel cars, a big tractor trailer, a few games, and Superman pj's. Soo cool! Oh and a slip and slide for the lawn. That will be neat! I was just so excited that all my friends got to share in my special day. We had to stop and pick up Tucker on the way home and now we're just waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive. They'll be here tonight to spend the week.

I passed!

I passed Preschool B in swimming!!! I am so happy and PROUD!! It took me two years to pass but I finally did it after a lot of hard work!! To pass I had to jump into shallow water unassistated (but there's only deep water at that pool so I had to jump into the deep water), wear a life jacket, front float with an aid, back float with an aid, do 5 Bobs, float wearing a life jacket unassistated, front glide assisted, back glide assisted, kicking on front with an aid, and kicking on back with an aid. Pretty good eh?! Everyone is VERY proud of me!!

After swimming yesterday the little girl in my class, Emma, gave me a twoonie for passing. So we went to Loeb to get groceries and I bought popsicles. They sure are yummy!

Last night Tony came over for dinner and then we went to the PetSmart birthday party with Tucker. Boy there were a lot of dogs there. A lot of puppies too. Tucker was a wee bit hyper. But mommy and me got our picture taken with him and it turned out super cute. We even got a goodie bag for Tucker filled with treat samples and even a hankerchief for his collar. And I got an orange pop at the party. We bought some more chew bones so hopefully he stops chewing everything he's not supposed to. Silly dog!

Today was another good day at school. Tomorrow we're having an author come to our school so Ms Dudar invited mommy to come to school to see. That will be exciting since mommy hasn't come to school in a very long time. This afternoon we took a drive out to look at play structures. They have some really cool ones at the lumber store. I picked out all the different pieces I want so now I just have to talk to grandpa about building it. And we stopped at the new grocery store for me stuff.

Now it's back to packing. I'm a good helper.

Update

It's been another really sunny week. Sunday night I got back to Mommy's at bedtime because daddy and Sylvie went away for the weekend and Grandma Gayle was babysitting. But it worked out okay because mommy was sick anyway. She had a really sore throat. I've had that before...yuck.

We had a pretty busy day yesterday. First it was off to school. We didn't get library day but we did get gym time. Only I had twisted my ankle falling off the teeter tooter at daddy's house so I was limping like crazy and couldn't really do gym. Maybe next time. Mommy picked me up at school with Tucker and we came home for lunch and then headed to the clinic. We thought the wait wouldn't be too long but we were there for 2 hours...so boring. But we did get to watch half of Madagascar and half of Racing Stripes. Turns out mommy has a double ear infection and an infection in her throat so she needs to take special medicine for a week. And the doctor suggested a bandage for my ankle and some heat since I was limping so bad in there. We had to race home after that to pick up Tuck and go to HIS vet appointment. But first we stopped at McDonald's for milkshakes. The vet was way out near daddy's house. But luckily the traffic wasn't too bad yet. Tucker is now 23 lbs! And only 3 months old. He had to get a needle in his butt. Silly eh? He didn't even wimper.

We got home just in time to make dinner and Tony came over and then we went to Loblaws near Tony's mom's house to get mommy's medicine and my bandage and some more bubble bath. I wore the bandage to school today and it really helped my ankle. So I'll have to wear it every day this week until it's better. Hopefully it heals soon.

Today was another busy day at school. I got to work with a lady on my printing and I'm doing really good! My letters are almost perfect now. I wrote my full name and a few more words. I just have to keep practising.

Oh and last week we had the booster seat fitting at my school. I'm now 42.4 lbs and 110cm tall. Crazy or what?! I'm growing like a weed!!

It's off to swimming. I hope I earn my badge.

It's spring!!

I think it's finally spring!! We've had a few really nice days. No more winter coat. Woohoo!!

Yesterday was another fun and busy day. Tucker and mommy walked over to pick me up at school. All my friends took turns petting Tucker. That was fun! Then we walked all the way home. I didn't even have my wagon...so I got tired but I made it. We hung around home for awhile and then headed out in the car. We went to the Aviation Museum. It was so much fun!! We hadn't been there in a really long time. It's so nice to just hop in the car and be there so quickly. It really does take forever on the bus. A very nice volunteer even let me ride in the airplane. I got to work the flaps and check out all the controls! We explored for quite awhile there and even played in the park for awhile. Then it was time to get home and meet Daddy and go to his house for Beavers.

This morning was back to mommy's bright and early. I had a good morning at school. Sometimes I find school really boring. But today we got to play soccer outside with the reading buddies, I got to build a house out of blocks and then draw it (and drawing pictures has become one of my favorite things to do) and then we went to pick up trash for Earth Day. Mommy came to pick me up again today but this time with the car. We made a quick stop at Loblaws in Vanier and then I wanted to go to the little McDonald's for lunch. No big school groups there. Yummy!! I ate absolutely ALL of my McNugget Happy Meal and even got a granola bar that I'm saving in the car for later.

This afternoon we're going to finally try out my new bike. My old training wheels don't fit so I'll have to practise riding a two wheeler. I'm excited!!

Long time

Wow it's been a long time since anyone updated my website. 15 days!! I think Daddy has forgotten about it. I've been pretty busy this month. I'm getting really excited about moving into the new house and my birthday is coming up soon too.

Hmm...what should I update about. Easter weekend I spent at Daddy's house with Jordan and Clark. The Easter bunny hid a lot of eggs! And when I came home to Mommy's on Monday evening there were MORE eggs there! I'm so lucky! The Easter bunny even hide a big Monster Truck chocolate and a Hot Wheels tractor trailer in Tony's trunk. How silly is that?? I heard something rolling around in there so I checked it out and there they were. He must have forgot to close his trunk. So silly!

So last week was pretty busy. Monday night we went out and test drove a car...and guess what? We bought it!! Mommy and I are now proud owners of a 2001 Mazda Protege that's silver in colour. I really like that we can go out wherever we want now. We couldn't bring the car home on Monday though...we had to wait until Friday. But that was okay. Instead we went back and had dinner at Tony's house.

I'm doing great in my swimming lessons and only have one more this session! I'm pretty sure I'm going to earn my badge...I sure hope so! Then we'll have to look at what times they run for next session...maybe switch the time and day so it works better for driving back and forth. I definately still want to take lessons there though. This week I was even learning how to do a front crawl. Neat eh?

We've also been having lots of fun with Tucker. He's getting really big! We take him to the dog park at the Arboretum all the time. He can run off his leash there and he really likes it. Last night we met Auntie Trish and goofy Adrian at a different dog park at Conroy Pit. Tucker was nervous of all the dogs there but we had a good walk. Adrian is just so silly!!

I only have one more session left with Ainsley, occupational therapist. I'm going to miss working with her but she says I'm doing so much better that I don't need her help anymore. Imagine that??

I also sent out my party invitations this week. On Sunday May 6th I'm having my party at the Aviation Museum. I got to invite 11 friends!! And already Brandon, Isabel and Julia can come for sure. So that is good news! And on the day of my birthday we're going to have a party at the new house. Grandma and Grandpa will be there, Isabel and her family and I think maybe even great grandma and great grandpa. Should be fun!

I guess that's all for an update for now. Yesterday after taking Tuck to the Arboretum we went to the Experimental Farm. There were so many cute babies!! I had so much fun visiting them all. And look at the calf in the picture...he thought my fingers were milk.

Rain, rain go away

It's been another whole week since an update. We've been having a good week but boy is it ever rainy!!

Here's a picture of me and Tuck playing in the tub. We play EVERYWHERE!! Tucker was trying to jump in the tub with me but he's not quite big enough yet.

Sunday night we went to Tony's house for dinner except his mom wasn't there...but Liz was. So we played PS2 and played with Tuck. Then we left Tuck at Liz's house and her and her mom babysat him while we went to look at a car for me and mommy. It was nice but there was something wrong with the wheels or something so mommy isn't buying that one. She better find one soon...time is running out!

Monday we stayed at home and packed...it was rainy. We got quite a big packed though...I'm a good helper. Then in the evening we went to look at fridges and stoves but that is not fun at all. I was opening them all up to look for the energy star. We still haven't bought any...but we sure looked at a lot! I was really hungry while we were out and then we tried to go to Swiss Chalet but I thought mommy and Tony didn't have any money because we had to leave and boy did I get mad...but after I calmed down I realised their debit machine was down and they didn't have any paper money...okay life is good again. I ended up getting Burger King and brought it home to eat.

Yesterday was another busy day. Mommy walked over to school to pick me up with Tuck. I really love when she does that! Then all my friends get to see my puppy too. And I don't have to take the bus home. I'm really sick of riding the bus on the way home. Tony met us at the school and we came home. Then it was my swimming lesson. It was Parent's Day but mommy didn't know that so she didn't bring her bathing suit. But I did an awesome job in the pool!! I'm putting my face under for 3 LONG seconds! YAHOO! And doing my front float and back float. Melissa says this time I will probably earn my badge. Isn't that exciting?! FINALLY!! After that we picked up Tuck and went out to drop off his too small dog crate that we borrowed. And we got to meet Tucker's sister. She is so much smaller then Tucker but much meaner. She was biting him and barking at him. They played for a long time and even I played with them. Then we went to see the new house now that the snow has melted. I can't wait to move in! There are tons of kids on the street around my age...they were all out biking and walking...so exciting!

Today is another good day. Once again mommy and Tony picked me up at school and we went to St Laurent for a bit. Not too exciting but I got Subway for lunch so that's ok. It's been so rainy Tucker hasn't even been on a big walk today...just a short one to the mailbox.

That's all for now. I'm excited to go to school tomorrow because we're having an Easter egg hunt in my classroom! And I'm going to bring Easter bunny cookies to share with my friends. I think it'll be fun! I've been bringing home lots of Easter crafts this week and they are all so cute.
