Wow...what fun I've had in the past day!! I can hardly believe it! Yesterday afternoon mommy and Tony picked me up at daddy's house in Rockland around 4pm. I finally got to show mommy around the house. I've been wanting to show her the house for ages and ages. Then we were on the road. It seemed like it took us a long time to get to Montreal but I was just anxious to see the show. We found our hotel in Longueil...checked in and it was very nice.
Then the fun began...we headed downtown with all the other traffic. What a traffic jam!! Oh and our hotel was on the other side of the tunnel so we got to zoom through the tunnel a lot...so much fun! We had such a hard time finding parking but finally found a spot and walked to Olympic Stadium. No wonder why we had a hard time finding parking...their were 55 THOUSAND people there watching the show. It was sold out! I think we missed about the first 15 minutes of the show...but that's okay. I put in my ear plugs and we had seats that were about 8 rows up from the bottom. WOW!! The show was amazing!! It was over 3.5 HOURS long!! They had TONS of monster trucks, a couple of demolitian derbies, a jet car, motorbikes doing tricks and 4 wheelers that were flying over a school bus. Can you believe it?? And the monster trucks were jumping over school buses and cars and everything. A few of them even lost their tires, and fell apart or just flipped right over. It sure was good. And if you watch the French CBS in the summertime they're going to show it on tv. So cool! When we got back to the car after the show we had a parking ticket...so silly. We got stuck in traffic heading back to the hotel and made a pit stop at the grocery store (since all the restaurants were closed) to get something for dinner. By the time we got back to the hotel it was 12:30am and we were just having dinner. A midnight picnic of chicken, fruit and buns. Yum! I sure slept good last night!! And I slept in till after 9am this morning. Whew!!
Then it was time for more adventures. Mommy and me went swimming when we woke up. The pool was so nice and warm. Then we packed up and headed back into town for a very yummy breakfast at Nickel's. I ate so much food...waffles, fruit, sausages...and just kept eating. Then we headed to the Biodome. It was pretty busy but I really liked seeing all the animals...except for the crocodiles and snakes...yuck! The HUGE fish and the crazy haired penguins were my favorite. We even saw the man feeding the penguins. Neato!! After that we went to check out the big pool where the Olympics were in 1976. It was so big...and the diving platforms were almost to the ceiling. It was neat to see. Since it was so rainy (flooded streets everywhere) we couldn't do the rest of our plans so we drove around for quite awhile sightseeing and then headed back towards Ottawa with a stop at Tim's for a sprinkle donut and a stop in Limoges to look at some houses.
What a mini vacation. I can't wait to do it again!! Unfortunately mommy didn't take many pictures but we have a couple.
